About Me:

My name is Carmen and I’ve been exploring the world on a budget for the past 15 years. Much of my early travel was in Europe while studying abroad at the University of Glasgow. Those trips are where I learned how to really (and I mean really) stretch a dollar and get the most out of my time in a new city or country.

I’m a Minnesota native currently rocking a corporate gig in sunny Southern California. Even after joining the working world full-time after college, I’ve always maintained that travel doesn’t have to be expensive or weeks long to be meaningful and fulfilling.

I’m super passionate about encouraging my friends and family to explore the nooks and crannies of the world. And if you’re on this site, that includes you! I created this blog as one-stop shop to help you travel the world in a way that is fun and most importantly, affordable.
